Being Known and Being Loved

In the quiet moments of our lives, we often find ourselves reflecting on the layers we carry… those parts of our story that we may try to bury or hide.

Inspired by the encounter of the Samaritan woman at the well, this episode invites us to sit with the truth: Jesus knows us fully and loves us deeply.

Being Known

And Being Loved

We all have layers… those we show, those we protect, and those we simply pretend don't exist. But Jesus sees beyond the surface. He knows our history, our pain, and the stories that have shaped us. In John chapter four, we see how Jesus meets the Samaritan woman, not with judgment, but with an offer of living water and truth.

The Samaritan woman's encounter with Jesus transformed her. She left her water jar and ran to her community… no longer hiding but embracing the freedom received from Christ.

The good news? This transformation is available to us, too. Jesus meets us where we’re at, and He offers us grace and redemption… no matter where we are or what we have walked through.

As you reflect on this story, ask the Holy Spirit to uncover the places you've hidden. Not to bring shame, but to bring them into the light. Remember that Jesus isn’t shocked by your past. He knows you inside and out. And even through all that… He continues to stay with us, offering love, grace, and healing, and a new path forward.

Friend, you are not defined by your past or your mistakes. You are defined by the One who knows everything about you and still chooses you.

pray with me

Jesus, you know all of me… and yet you still seek me out. Thank you for loving me through all the layers of my life. Help me to live as someone who is deeply known and deeply loved.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
